Pastor David L. Wynn Ministry Statement

To teach and preach God’s Word in a way that the biblical application of God’s word can be seen in the lives of believers, and to constantly allow the Holy Ghost to use His willing vessel to provide inspirational and motivational messages that are Bible Based & Christ Centered.  This is to include; being mission minded by leading and developing faith and commitment to Christ in order to fulfill God's purpose for our collective lives. (2 Timothy 2:15 & 2 Peter 1:2-4)

  1. God’s Kingdom: I value the Kingdom building process of the church in fulfillment of the Great Commission. - Matthew 28:19.  This effort can only be achieved by going into our community and provide the Good News in a non-condemning format.  John 3: 17
  2. The Church: I value the church as the place where we equip believers for the work of ministry. - Ephesians 4:12 & 2 Timothy 4:5.  This is the single most important aspect of the church and something we can never permit to not be our primary focus!
  3. Change:I value change; spiritual growth causes constant change when a believer gets into the Word of God and allows the Word of God to get into them. John 3: 3 and 2 Corinthians 3:18.  The church must represent born again believers who are seeking to bring change into the world that is centered around faith and salvation.
  4. Teamwork: I value team effort. (T.E.A.M. - Together everyone achieves more) People working together with one mind and a common goal, equal spiritual empowerment. Ephesians 4: 11-15 and 1Corinthians 3:9.  One of the strengths of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church is the belief that ministry is a partnership between its Clergy and Laity!
  5. Love: I believe that love is the message that the church must reflect at all times and it is the single most important aspect of salvation (John 3: 16 & Matthew 6: 14).   Furthermore; the Bible teaches us that God is love and Jesus Himself commanded us to love one another as He has loved us (1John 4:8 and John 13: 34).  We are also instructed to even love those who are not loving us back; Matthew 5: 44.
